Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Profile Doctor, operated by Michael Obunike. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Profile Doctor is

Profile Doctor is an entertainment product. You upload screenshots of your dating profile and receive an AI-generated critique, a score, suggested improvements, and a rewritten bio. It is intended to be funny and useful, but it is a machine-generated opinion, not professional advice.

You must be 18 or over

The service is for adults. You must confirm you are 18 or older before each diagnosis. If you are under 18, you may not use Profile Doctor.

Only upload your own profile

You may only upload screenshots of a dating profile that belongs to you. Uploading someone else’s profile is prohibited, whether or not you know them. This exists to prevent people generating mocking content about someone who never consented to it.

You also agree not to upload:

• images of anyone under 18, in any context
• images you do not have the right to use
• sexually explicit imagery
• content that is illegal in your jurisdiction

We may refuse or block requests that appear to breach these rules, and the underlying model is instructed to refuse content that appears to involve a minor.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, automate requests, scrape the service, reverse engineer it, or use it in a way that imposes unreasonable load. Usage limits apply per user and may change without notice.

Content and ownership

You keep all rights to the screenshots you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to process them in order to generate your result, which is a single, transient use.

The critique, score, suggestions, and rewritten bio produced for you are yours to use however you like, including posting them publicly. Note that AI-generated output may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions, and that similar output may be generated for other users.

Profile Doctor itself, including its name, design, and underlying code, remains ours.

The roast is an opinion, not advice

Scores and suggestions are generated automatically and may be wrong, inconsistent, or unfair. They are not relationship advice, psychological guidance, or a prediction of your dating outcomes. Do not rely on them as anything other than entertainment. Running the same profile twice may produce different results.

The service is deliberately capable of being blunt, and the most intense setting is meant to be harsh. It targets choices you made about your profile, never your appearance, identity, or any characteristic you cannot change. If output ever crosses that line, please report it to hello@getprofiledoctor.com.

Payments

Some features may require a one-off payment. Prices are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never receive or store your card details. Because paid content is delivered immediately and in full, payments are generally non-refundable, though we will consider refund requests sent to hello@getprofiledoctor.com in good faith.

Availability

The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or continued existence. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we may restrict or block access if these terms are breached.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Profile Doctor is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of output.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 USD if you paid nothing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any effect on your dating life.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and the state and federal courts located in New York will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights under local law that these terms do not affect.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use Profile Doctor after an update means you accept the revised terms.
